The Great American Challenge is a Rock ‘n’ Roll band out of Waco Tx Formed by Garrett Shelton when he asked his Good friend Hoss if he would like to start a Rock ‘n’ Roll band, Hoss agreed and the hunt for members began, Hoss lived with a bass player named James Wilson, They asked if he would like to join and he accepted, They knew a Guitar player by the name of David Bennett that they went to school with who was also a drummer, They asked if he could just fill in to help them get there songs in better order they knew he would be in the band before their first full band practice. They started playing shows in November of 2010 after only being a band for about a month, they all draw influences from different bands and have the desire and drive to get there music heard everywhere giving them a unique sound.

Another Tangent about Venue Websites

Why is it that I get the impression that on nearly every venue’s website booking is some sort of secret? I mean, it’s almost as if finding how to book your band is THE thing that determines whether or not you can play. On every venue’s website there should be a tab in all caps, highlighted, 150 sized font that says “Want to book your band?”. I mean, go to nearly any venue’s website and try to book your band. There’s nothing too apparent on the sites that say how to book your band, so you go to their help feature. Then, in the help feature it says to submit your information to the talent staff to be booked. Who the fuck is the talent staff and what information am I supposed to give them?!?!?!?! I don’t know. Just another little tangent.
